It was born on a hospital bed.

01Two years
For nearly two years, our founder was going through a difficult phase in her life.
She had never imagined herself building a food brand. It was not part of her career plan or something she had set out to pursue.
But life had other plans.
A health challenge forced her to pause, rethink, and look at everyday food in a completely different way.
She began asking questions she had never asked before —
- What are we really eating?
- What goes into the food we bring home?
- How is it made?
- And can we truly trust it?
A change she never expected eventually led her toward a purpose she never planned.
That’s how Made in Desi began.
02What she found
She started looking at food differently.
She began questioning ingredients, preparation methods, and how traditional foods were made.
She missed the food that once felt like home — familiar ingredients, careful hands, and the quiet love that went into making something for the people you care about.
She missed knowing what went into the food, who made it, and the care behind every bite.
And somewhere along the way, one question stayed with her:
“Why can’t traditional food still be made with the same care today?”
